For The Simpsons: Hit & Run on the PlayStation 2, FAQ/Walkthrough by BBlevins. Apr 19, 2018 The Simpsons Hit and Run is pretty much the child friendly version of gta. And it's pretty fun but was also kinda challenging for me anyways. Mostly because I suck at timed stuff. Got to say they.
Missions
These range from running errands to beating a certain character in a race. There are 49 missions that spread out over eight different levels in the game. If you fail a mission enough, you will have the option to skip it. My fellow IGN Guide writing buddy, Hil Goldstein, told me that in almost every mission that requires you to go from on point to the next, the timer doesn't start until you get into your car. Park close to your next goal, then when you get the mission, you can walk to your car, get in, and be done with just 5 or 10 seconds taken off the clock.
Street Races
There are three Street Races per Level in the game. You can find Nelson, Milhouse, and Ralph Wiggum all with flags throughout each Level, and it seems as if Marge's annoying sisters are behind it.. Noteworthy tips include the fact that you do not have to run over the blue, circular checkpoints. There are also completely random challenges in Springfield from Louie and Legs that are not covered in this guide due to obvious reasons: They're random.
Bonus Missions
There are a few of these in the game, and they handle pretty much like the regular missions, except you likely earn a reward for completing them. They are also a little tougher than the casual mission, as well.

These things have been spotted several times around town, and likely have a connection to those Black Vans that have been appearing throughout town. They can attack you with electricity, forcing you to lose money (ala, Sonic The Hedgehog). You can jump into the air and punch them to eliminate their threat.
Vehicles
There are plenty of vehicles that you can find, or purchase, in the levels of the game. Most of the purchases pop up throughout the game after certain missions are complete. To find out where to buy them, try reading the last paragraph or sentence of each mission to see if any have became available. You can also unlock vehicles through completing the Street Races.
